such a gorgeous wedding for lisa & ben! surrounded by all of their adorable nieces and nephews, their sweet pup – floyd, and family & friends they exchanged vows and celebrated the night away. ending their reception with a lantern send off was complete perfection. enjoy their preview!
such a glorious friday in october we had for jillian and dave’s downtown milwaukee wedding! having photographed jillian’s sister kate’s wedding a few years back i knew the day would be a complete joy to capture. they have fabulous style and love and value photography as much as i do. we started our day with a first look then headed off to make some pretty photos with a bit of nature and a little city to balance out each of their likes. their old st mary ceremony was lovely followed by a grand celebration at the grain exchange complete with an orchestra. so much goodness, love, beauty, joy and happiness around every corner. their images truly speak for themselves. hope you enjoy the preview of their day!
it may have been wet and drizzly all day for melissa & joe’s wedding day however there was so much love, light, and happiness shared by all those in attendance i think we hardly noticed. ;) after the ceremony we hopped up the street to corvina for wine and celebration with their wedding party before heading to the hilton garden inn for more wine, hugs, heartfelt speeches, and dancing. a completely lovely day that i truly loved sharing! hope you enjoy their wedding day!!
courtney and liz celebrated their wedding day on a gorgeous sunday afternoon at wolf peach with their closest family and friends. there was delicious food, drinks, lots of smiles, laughs, and hugs all around. we dashed away after the ceremony for some fun portraits around wolf peach that included some of their favorite things… city views, alleys, and a kitty! :) much success to you both as you start your new adventures together in MA!
such a gorgeous day we had for andrea & max’s outdoor lake geneva wedding at hawks view golf club! i was greeted by so many beautiful details, lovely and gracious bridesmaids, and excited groomsmen and family that were truly a pleasure to capture. there was something magical about the soft pink flowing dresses, baby’s breath, and rustic details. everything felt effortless which meant much planning and thought went into every part of their day. both andrea and max’s moms gave speeches which were so heartfelt and perfect. we created some of my favorite romantic end of the night photos to date that day. hope you enjoy their blog post!
bridget & peter’s wedding day was just lovely! i adore when couples have their ceremony and reception at the same location. the day becomes more intimate and relaxing for everyone involved. we planned out the day perfectly allowing time for photography and lots of celebrating with family and friends. the wedding day details were beautiful with gorgeous florals, individual pies, a selfie polaroid flower backdrop, and 2 wedding dresses! bridget’s second dress was created by her personal attendant and it incorporated an adorable squirrel fabric, rose gold zipper and sequins… it was amazing! so many heartfelt speeches were given that evening followed by lots of dancing. enjoy a few of my favorites from their best day ever!
i was so looking forward to katie and brian’s wedding day! i photographed kim (katie’s sister) and richard’s wedding 12 years ago… what?! ;) so it was an honor to share another awesome wedding with this family. the day was ridiculously cold and rainy but everyone rolled with it and we have beautiful fun photos to prove it!! it totally started raining harder right when we headed out for photos after the ceremony, but when we wanted it to rain for some evening photos it was barely sprinkling. oh spring in wisconsin you kept us on our toes. :) in lieu of clinking for a kiss, a meat auction was held with proceeds going to the wounded warrior project… kim was quite the auctioneer. hope you enjoy a few photos from this beautiful spring wedding as much as i enjoyed photographing it!
lisa & joe chose some of my favorite venues for their fabulous winter wedding. st. john’s military academy is gorgeous any season of the year but is especially beautiful covered in snow. it might have been single digits on their wedding day however we did not let that stop us from snagging a few photos around the grounds. i think it might have been the fastest couple portrait session in history. ;) we then headed off to the red circle inn for their reception and the party got started with lots of toasting and dancing. if you want a rocking party on your wedding day, a band is a must! enjoy!
meg & jon celebrated new year’s eve amazingly this year by ringing in 2016 and saying “i do” surrounded by family and friends at the overture center for the arts! it was a sunny gorgeous day in madison with lots of smiles, laughs, and happy tears all day long. jon’s brother officiated the ceremony which truly made it extra special. we headed to the capitol for a few photos after their nuptials before heading back to the overture center for lots of champagne, hugs, laughing, and dancing. you know it’s going to be a great party when you have a band, bucky shows up, and then you have a balloon drop at midnight. hope you enjoy their day as much as i did!
i adore the villa terrace. it is one of the prettiest venues in milwaukee. for rebecca & shane’s intimate winter wedding it was the perfect setting. surrounded by a handful of their closest friends and family they exchanged vows and shared their love and commitment for one another.
